True to its commitment, the City College of Calamba Center for Guidance and Counseling's Counseling and Referral System is offered to the whole CCC community. As stipulated in the Guidance Manual (Rev. 2025), counseling service is intended to establish a clear relationship between the guidance counselor and the students. This will help the students in understanding and achieving optimum educational, vocational and personal-social development and adjustment. Counseling is a goal-oriented relationship between a professionally- trained, competent counselor and an individual seeking for help for the purpose of bringing about a meaningful awareness and understanding of the self and environment, improving planning and decision making, and formulating new ways of behaving, feeling, and thinking for problem resolution and/or development growth (Gibson and Mitchell, 1999). On the other hand, teachers, administrators, counselors, parents, and other students may refer students for counseling if he/she needs further assistance for his/her well-being.
