Rules and Regulations

GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT AND LIRC OPERATIONAL STANDARDS

Use of the Library and Information Resource Center (LIRC) is a privilege granted to the City College of Calamba community, contingent upon a commitment to individual accountability and academic integrity. Every member of our academic community must contribute actively to maintaining a culture of mutual respect and high-standard scholarship within these shared spaces. A critical aspect of this responsibility involves safeguarding the academic and physical integrity of the collection; this means that under no circumstances should patrons remove any library items from the premises without following the official borrowing procedures, and all borrowed items must be returned by the established due date to ensure equitable access for others. In addition to respecting physical resources, users must uphold ethical and legal standards when utilizing the LIRC's computing and internet resources. Unauthorized distribution or duplication of copyrighted digital content, accessing restricted or inappropriate material, or attempting to compromise network security constitutes a severe violation of the library's acceptable use policy. Our goal is to provide a clean, secure, and technologically advanced environment for all users, but achieving this requires full cooperation. Therefore, students are reminded that library spaces must remain quiet zones of learning and that the sharing of library identification cards is prohibited. Consistently adhering to these ethical user responsibilities ensures that the CCC LIRC can remain a vibrant and effective resource that benefits the entire academic institution.
