The Department of Business and Accountancy offers the BSA and the BSAIS programs, which provide a foundation of professional knowledge, professional skills, and professional values, ethics and attitudes that enable them to continue to learn and adapt to enable professional accountants to identify problems, know where to find this knowledge and know how to apply it in an ethical manner to achieve appropriate solutions.
The Academic Director administers the program for students in collaboration with the teaching and non teaching personnel and with the duly designation school officials to attain the college mission and vision.
The faculty, possessing all the necessary qualifications, shall provide the instructional services to students in accordance with the college standards. Likewise, the school provides for computer laboratories and other physical facilities required for hands on training of the students.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ACCOUNTANCY

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

GRADUATES OF THE BS ACCOUNTANCY PROGRAM ARE:

Committed to Life-Long Learning and Professional Growth

They pursue advanced studies, attend professional development courses, and actively engage in relevant industry seminars and conferences to maintain and expand expertise in accounting, finance, and related fields.

Adaptable and Flexible

They demonstrate technical competence in accounting, audit, and tax services, adapt to evolving standards and technologies, and continually improve skills through life-long learning and professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA).

Collaborating in Research

They actively participate in collaborative research projects that address current issues in industry practices by analyzing industry-driven experiences to contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting practices and community.

Community Involved

They take active roles as leaders or volunteers in community organizations, providing accounting and financial guidance to non-profits, small businesses, and social enterprises, contributing to the financial sustainability and growth of these organizations.

Creative and Innovative

They apply analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex accounting and financial issues, while staying updated on global trends and innovations in accounting practices through continuous education and professional development.

Leaders and Professionals

They exhibit broad leadership skills in the four sectors of accounting (Private, Public, Government, and Academe), acting as responsible leaders and team members who uphold the highest professional standards.

PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. Resolve business issues and problems, with a global and strategic perspective using knowledge and technical proficiency in areas of financial accounting and reporting, cost accounting and management, accounting and control, taxation, and accounting information systems;

2. Conduct accountancy research through independent studies of relevant literature and appropriate use of accounting theory and methodologies;

3. Employ technology as a business tool in capturing financial and non-financial information, generating reports, and making decisions;

4. Apply knowledge and skills to successfully respond to various types of assessments; and (including professional licensure and certifications;

5. Confidently maintain a commitment to good corporate citizenship, social responsibility, and ethical practice in performing functions as an accountant;

6. Resolve some business environmental issues based on the legal, regulatory, and economic factors that affect accounting and financial practices.; and

7. Get along well with people, motivate the team and influence them to achieve their personal and organizational goals.
